Proverbs 3:5-6

Hello family and friends we are excited to begin this blog to share with you our journeys as the Rogers family. We are Jeff and Rebecca, Laura, Gloria and soon to add Ella. Laura is 8 years old and loves piano, ballet and reading. Gloria is 6 years old and loves science, piano, ballet and horses. Ella is almost 3 and will soon be added to our family from China. We look forward to learning her likes and interests.
Back in 2005 the Lord planted a seed in our hearts. This seed was the desire to adopt. We were so excited to nurture this seed and watch it grow. Little did we know that the nurturing and growing would last over 5 years. Over the ups and downs, many questions and tears. This desire in our hearts has grown bigger than we could ever imagine. Looking back at the years Jeff and I would not change a thing. That is what the Lord wanted us to learn. He wanted us to believe that what He put in our hearts was there for a purpose. A purpose that He wanted to control. Not knowing all the answers definitely opened our eyes to a more mighty and all knowing God than we ever knew 5 years ago. This verse from Lamentations sums up what we have held on to these years. " Because of the Lord's great love Holy and dearly loved, we are not consumed. His compassion never fails. They are new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22,23
So my dear family and friends, it is with great joy that we can finally say we have a little one waiting for us in China. For the past three months we have been reviewing paperwork, signing paperwork, resigning paperwork and sending paperwork to the other side of the world and waiting to hear from the other side of the world(China). It is very exhausting but soooo worth it. We now await our travel date. Then we can make arrangements to travel to China to bring our little Ella home to her forever family.
We will be posting to let you know any updates. As we await this important date. We stay busy with our two precious girls Laura and Gloria. They are so excited to have a little sister. Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement all these years. We love you all.
